Names (personal, company) / hebrew name for girl
English term or phrase: "to unlock"
Shalom everyone,

My wife and I just had a baby girl and we are very happy.

We would like to give her a hebrew name that could mean something like “to unlock” or "keys to unlock".

Indeed we would like our girl to become a compassionate person who would have "the keys to unlock" those who are bound or closed up.
We all get stuck sometimes and we need the help of a friend who has understanding and is not afraid to speak the truth in love, someone who has the “keys to unlock” you and to open the way to godliness.

In the bible, as far as I know, the word for “key” is “maphteach” and the word for “to unlock or to loose” is “patach”. But both terms are not really nice sounding for a name. Would there be a cutest way to express the same (“to unlock” especially). We are not afraid to venture with names that do not exist…

Thank you all for your precious help !

Hebrew translation:"פתחי"
Explanation:
Congratulations for the birth.

I've strained my head to find anything appropriate.

You cant avoid using "liphtoach" (open, unlock) or "Leshachrer" (liberate) or the roots of P.T.H or Sh.H.R.R.

I think "פִּתְחִי"
("PITHI")
altough original, has right sound and meaning
and is feminine enough.

"פתחיה", with a seeminglty more feminine suffix, is a biblical
MALE name and it's pronounced "Ptachya"

BTW - there is a beautiful and very well-known poem by the great poet Rachel, about how a person can be "a locked-up garden". Let the girl have this too.

It is composed to a song and beautifully sung too...

Thanks for your efforts to help us !!! Obviously it was not an easy one... but you did your best to find something that expresses what I asked.

neutral  boostrer: does sthis name really exist in Israel? are not you afraid that somebody may translate it as a noun with pronom. suffix?)

-> No, it doesn't - but as the asker specificly stated "We are not afraid to venture with names that do not exist…" :-)

Explanation:
please give your baby a "normal" name , because she is the one that will have to carry it for the rest of her life.
i can sugget that you should consult with someone that can give you the right name for her , like a Rabby or on the other hand a numerologist.
i can suggest to you a few mames that has direct or indirect conection to Ruhaniut :

זוהר - avery signifcant book - the zohar

גבריאל - gabriel , a name of an angel.

מאל - from god

ענבר -, amber , a stone

the path of a person is not in the hand of the parents , you can only hope , that she will be what she realy can be' let her be herself , and not what others want her to be.
congratulation what ever name you chose for her.
