Thank you guys for taking the time to try and help me. I'd given up and informed my client (an agency - not the end-client) I have no idea what IGRA is, which is why I never visited this page since. The reason I posted it under General / Conversation / Greetings / Letters is precisely because of the little context I had which suggested to me that IGRA in this case has nothing to do with the actual subject matter of the letter. I was hoping someone would say something along the lines of "it's a postal code" and show me a reference where it's used that way. The thing is because of the format in which I have the file I couldn't be sure exactly where and how "IGRA" was situated in the text. For all I know it might have been floating around somewhere in a text box.

Instead of posting this question under General / Conversation / Greetings / Letters, which is meaningless, it would be much more useful for everybody involved to enter Medical as a general field and Clinical Trials in the text field or specialty. This you can save and reuse each time. BTW, why do you have to translate IGRA? It may be some postal code or phone no. Context means everything that is relevant for your question: ethics committee, Shaare Zedek, etc.

I'm so used to everything I translate having to do with clinical trials I didn't even think to mention it.
This is a letter from the Helsinki committee to a researcher asking questions about ICF forms that were submitted to the committee for approval.

However I tend to think that this IGRA thing has nothing to do with the subject of the letter because of where it's written (in the "from:" field of the letter).

Actually Genealogy is the study of family histories and as such has nothing to do with ethics generally, and absolutely nothing to do with the Shaare Tzedek Helsinki committee in particular...

In that case, IGRA is Israel Genealogy Research Association, since genealogy naturally deals with ethical questions.
