@ Demitris '....Finally, the existence of adequate supplies of anti-HIV drugs would be "stock" or "reserve", not "pool". To 'pool' things together, Demetri, is to 'bring' them together from different sources. It could, very well, be 'stock' but 'reserve' refers to 'minimum stock'. Why then, since it is a scientific report, it did not refer to it as 'reservoir' but it did as 'pool'( a mixture of various different samples, collected from different Sources, which were 'pooled' together in one place).
transphy, I think there's a contradiction here: if "pool" refers to chemicals, how can the "average pool size" be "45 serum samples"? Look up "pooled samples": https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2414484/, for example. Furthermore, "reservoir" may refer to infected cells or to infected populations (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Natural_reservoir); what's important is that it is not the same as "pool". Finally, the existence of adequate supplies of anti-HIV drugs would be "stock" or "reserve", not "pool".
'Reservoir' refers to the HIV infected cells. 'On pool' refers to the chemicals used for the combating of HIV, meaning, there are always adequate, constant supplies of these chemicals(medicines) saved and ready for use. < "average pool size, 45 serum samples". >....'
"We certify that the starting materials have been tested at Blood Bank by FDA approved tests, and were found non-reactive for HBsAg, HIV-1 Ag (or HIV-1 RNA on pool), and negative for anti-HIV 1+2, anti-HCV, and STS."
αναφέρονται σε ύλες που έχουν βρεθεί να είναι αδρανείς σε σχέση με το αυστραλιανό αντιγόνο, αντισώματα στον HIV-1 (or HIV-1 RNA on pool). https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC104872/ έχει μια αναφορά σε "average pool size, 45 serum samples". Μήπως εννοεί "HIV-1 RNA σε συγκέντρωση";
From what I guess, in the absence of text, it is that, quantities/supplies of HIV-1 RNA, are always kept ready for usage, 'on pool'! Έτοιμα προς χρήση!!?? Ταιριάζει;;;
