Το 'fauxtography' είναι νεολογισμός του οποίου δεν υπάρχει αντίστοιχος στα ελληνικά. Γι' αυτό πιστεύω αντί να μπερδεύουμε τον αναγνώστη εφευρίσκοντας κάποιον καινούργιο νεολογισμό, καλύτερο είναι να χρησιμοποιήσουμε μια λέξη που προϋπάρχει, 'ψευδοφωτογραφία'.

Θα μπορούσε να δωθεί και ως μονταρισμένη ή αλλοιωμένη φωτογραφία, αλλά μονολεκτί νομίζω ότι δεν υπάρχει καλύτερη λύση, και διατηρείται το νόημα.
