Το «περιθώριο» έχει συχνά θετική έννοια, όταν δίνουμε σε κάποιον το χρονικό περιθώριο να κάνει κάτι.
Με την «αρνητική» σημασία της προθεσμίας, είναι καλύτερο το «έθεσε χρονικό όριο».
