Η Λιθοξοΐα είναι η τέχνη της λάξευσης λίθων και μαρμάρων. Ο λιθοξόος, εκείνος που ασκεί την τέχνη της λιθοξοΐας, λέγεται διαφορετικά και λιθοπελεκητής, λιθουργός ή μαρμαράς. Οι λιθοξόοι κατεργάζονται συνήθως ασβεστόλιθο, πωρόλιθο και μάρμαρο, δίνοντας στα υλικά τους ένα αρχικό σχήμα, ιδιαίτερα όταν οι λίθινοι όγκοι είναι μεγάλου μεγέθους για να μεταφερθούν αυτούσιοι.
