Good morning dear colleagues, I am looking for help with this somewhat unusual expression which comes from a booklet named „Understanding Islam“. The entire paragraph says:

"Furthermore, human beings have the freedom of choice and they are agents of their choices and their actions, but they do not have creative power to undertake their choices."

Before it basically talked about how the Will of God and Free Will interact: "Allah’s absolute knowledge includes the flow as well as the ebb and tide of human life. However, Allah’s knowledge of human acts in advance of their commission does not force a person to commit those acts, just like astronomers for example, can predict and put on record when a solar eclipse will occur years in advance using their scientific knowledge. The solar eclipse doesn’t occur because of their knowledge or prediction. Similarly, Allah by possessing infinite knowledge (being not limited by time and space) knows what humans will do and records their actions, but this doesn’t force the person to commit that act."

I would be grateful for any input on how to differentiate or translate this term.

ich würde es so übersetzen: Menschen haben die Freiheit eigene Entscheidungen zu treffen, aber sie besitzen nicht die schöpferische Kraft ihre Entscheidungen umzusetzen.
