Der Ort, an dem die Zeit stehen blieb >> Where Time Stood Still

What do you think of this translation (German > English US) of a headline for an online magazine article? Please share your ideas for a better translation if this one should be replaced. It is an article about the british photographer Michael Kenna and his recent work. The artist has taken very impressive b/w landscape photos in the Huangshan Mountains, China, and he often uses long exposure times. So everything that is moving just dissapears like people, clouds, etc. The photographs convey a sense of timelessness. I am just proofreading the text.

Explanation:
... is a possiblity. It is not uncommon for the fictional title to be used figuratively - in nexspapers, for example (NY Times, search since 1851). You would have to decide if the tone is appropriate to the article.

The present translation seems perfectly fine, although I agree with your hunch that the "where" at the beginning seems a little strange.

Explanation:
I would put it in the present tense, to intensify the continuity. as if it is always so and the photographer caught it on film
