English term or phrase: to score for sth.

Ich weiß, ich habe erst vor einigen Tagen nach diesem Begriff gefragt, doch hier kommt "to score for" nochmals in einem anderen Zusammenhang vor, in dem die Übersetzung "positive Ergebnisse zeigen" nicht mehr passt:

Vom Sinn her würde ich sagen: "auf die Anwesenheit hin untersuchen", doch ich finde weder in Wörterbüchern noch im Internet eine Bestätigung dafür.

Explanation:
Diese Verwendungen von "to score for" treten meistens bei Hochdurchsatzexperimenten auf, die anschließend mit Software ausgewertet werden. Daher wohl der mathematische Beiklang. Mein Vorschlag ist relativ lässig, meiner Meinung nach aber trotzdem eleganter als dein ebenfalls richtiges "auf die Anwesenheit untersuchen".
Spezifische Ribozyme können außerdem verwendet werden, um auf spezifische Mutationen zu testen, die zu einer neuen Riboyzm-Schnittstelle führen oder den Wegfall einer solchen zur Folge haben.

Im Satz vielleicht eher "...um auf das Vorhandensein spezifischer Mutationen zu testen".

The English term I think means "to count up the incidence of, to tally, to record", as in "to score" at cricket, when the scorer has to mark down all the balls bowled, the runs scored, etc.
