Like Christine I'd suggest 'Umleitung'. The diversion, as I understand it from the extra context, is a diversion of amylase and lipase from the pancreatic juice into the blood. While members of the lectin binding family are inducible by cytokines, amylase and lipase are not, so their presence in the blood must be a result of diversion.

Vielen Dank für den Kontext. Ich habe mir das Patent angesehen und es durchgelesen. Es ist wohl von deutschsprachigen Wissenschaftlern angemeldet worden. "Diversion" kommt in der Beschreibung nur einmal vor, so wie vorstehend von dir bereits angegeben wurde. Dieser Satz scheint zu sagen, dass im Gegensatz zu Vorstehendem andere pankreatische Enzyme, z. B. Amylase und Lipase,nicht durch Cytokine reguliert zu werden scheinen, wobei ihr Auftreten im Blut nur als ein beiläufiges Ergebnis angesehen wird.
So sehe ich diesen Satz. Vielleicht haben andere Kollegen jedoch bessere Ideen.

Der Titel lautet "METHOD TO DIAGNOSE INFECTIOUS PERITONITIS AND PREDICT THE SEVERITY AND OUTCOME THEREOF IN HUMANS."

und hier mehrere Sätze vor und nah dem Satz mit "Diversion":

Wäre bitte etwas mehr Kontext möglich, vielleicht der Titel des Patents. Ich vermute, dass hier evtl. lediglich eine "Umleitung" oder "Ableitung" ins Blut gemeint ist.
