I am not completely sure how to translate the above mentioned sentence fragment; any advice?

Wallpaper is another great way of making a striking decorative statement – whether used all over or on a single feature wall. Richly layered, enveloping schemes can thus add interest and depth to your space. But a monochrome interior enlivened by a sophisticated juxtaposition of textures – linen and velvet, silk and wool, prints and embroideries – can be just as appealing.

Ich kann gut nachvollziehen, dass du bei der Passage auf dem Schlauch stehst - ich nämlich auch. Vielleicht will der Autor - mal so aus dem Bauch heraus getippt - so etwas ausdrücken wie "hochwertige, ansprechende Materialien und wohnliche Konzepte" oder "sinnlich ansprechende Entwürfe mit Wohlfühl-Ambiente". In die Richtung geht es EVENTUELL. Nur steht es leider nicht so da. Kann man den Autor nicht irgendwie zu fassen kriegen und fragen?
