English term or phrase: product rationing
From a text about Supply Chain Management:

"Product rationing is the response that manufacturers take when they are faced with more demand than they can meet. The problem occurs when the demand exceeds a supplier's finished goods available, and in this case, the supplier may allocate products in proportion to what buyers ordered."

I guess I could say "rationnement de produit", but I wonder if there is a different set term in French.

rationnement des produits
Explanation:
