Could you please how to translate 'Minister' in a marriage certificate.

It refers to a religious person who signs the marriage certificate, generally at a church.

In the marriage certificate it is mentioned as 'Regisrar or Minister'. So my attempt is "Officier de l’état civil (ou) Pasteur". If not is is there a term as 'l'Officiant religieux'

Please let me know the best term to be used.

agree  Corinne Simon-Duneau: Yes, that's right. In the US, marriage by a priest or minister is legal, although he does have to register officially in certain States and you have to apply for a marriage licence
