English term or phrase: A volcano ... Dear French translators, The phrase is already translated, but wll you tell me if it is correct? le Mt Fuji. Montagne sacree pour les Japonais, ce magnifique volcan eteint, a la forme presque parfaite, culmine a 3776 m. (I did not input accents in here, of course the accents ar OK in the real print.) éteint ou inactif Explanation: Tout dépend de l'anglais, on dit les deux mais le sens est légèrement différent. "Eteint" = qui ne se rallumera plus, qui n'entrera plus en éruption. "Inactif" = calme pour l'instant mais rien ne dit qu'il n'entrera pas de nouveau en activité et qu'il n'y aura pas une nouvelle éruption un jour où l'autre. La phrase coule assez bien. Je suppose que le point après "Fuji" est une erreur de typo. J'aurais tendance à supprimer le point, le "ce" et une virgule, ce qui donnerait : Le Mont Fuji, montagne sacrée pour les Japonais, magnifique volcan éteint/inactif à la forme presque parfaite, culmine a 3776 m.
