I also believe that the source text wasn't written by a native speaker and some parts are simply horrendous. I have mentioned this issue to the client. Thanks for your help.

Agree with Tony's comment. Would also add that this device sounds like it would be illegal in most countries.

The EN is clearly rather flawed, I suspect written — or more likely spoken — by a non-native. (German?)
It certainly seems as if there might be a verb missing.... but I suspect possibly not: I think it needs to be read as "...you will be able to [do the above]..." — in some languages, this construction would not be an error.
Likewise, "...a period of for months to months." needn't necessarily be an actual error; it could just be a non-native speaker's way of say 'for months and months' — it might even indicate that they had "changed direction" in mid sentence: "over a period of... [er]... for months and months."
