fertish - Explanation: Hi Jeff, This word does not seem to exist indeed, and I can't think of another similar word that the deponent might have gotten confused with. It seems to be used as an adjective in this actual sentence, so to be on the safe side I would simply refrain from translating it, and the meaning of the sentence will still remain the same. Good luck! |

fertish fertish = fetish (without the typo); (ici :) fetish power = force/puissance maléfique/occulte Explanation: Hello Jeff, the otherwise hilariously hyperbolic, 17th-century-inspired, dramatic tone of your deponent's writing ("they have conspired and vowed with all their"; "scott free") gives me the impression he/she must have meant to write fetish powers, in order to underline the fact that these evil people won't let her go without punishment because they are just so uncannily mean and unmerciful. :) But then, alas (!), he/she hit the "R"-key, right next to the "T"-key: fertish. You can often see typos occuring with keys neighboring (above/underneath or next to) the intended key ("amd", "of/or", etc.). Plus, the fact that he/she wrote "that I won'g go (?) scott free" (sic) would confirm the personality profile of a notorious wrong-key-hitter or sloppy proofreader. :) "A fetish is an object believed to have supernatural powers, or in particular, a human-made object that has power over others." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fetishism "their fetish powers" https://www.google.com/search?rlz=1C1CHBF_deDE846DE846&ei=lD...
