Is there a way to say this in French that will lend some type of fantasy to it (as in the original WIZARD OF OZ)
Or perhaps, the movie was made in French and someone knows of the term used as translation.

Explanation:
"Follow the yellow brick road" est une expression archiconnue en anglais. Elle s'emploie dans de très nombreux contextes qui n'ont rien à voir avec Oz et se prête à une multitude de jeux de mots (sur "yellow", sur "brick", sur "road", etc.). Elle est chantée par Elton John, Eminem, etc. Il me semble difficile de trouver un équivalent en français parce que la traduction littérale tirée du film n'est pas très connue, certainement pas assez pour justifier un usage figuré. Au figuré, j'emploierais "la voie royale" pour garder la connotation.

(Au Canada on trouve parfois "la route/le chemin de brique jaune ...")

Judy Garland could hardly have guessed as she donned her ruby slippers in The Wizard of Oz that the expression The Yellow Brick Road would one day gain currency as a figurative idiom (it refers to a course of action that is certain to be successful: a whizz-kid businessman might be said to be on the yellow brick road to a top management position).
