I looked for both possibilities, "to trip off" and "to drip" of, in case of typing errors. I did not found any suitable hit with electrical context, neither in Electropedia, IATE, Merriam-Webster or The Free Online Dictionary. I concluded from that a very uncommon use und looked for circumscriptions and alternate wordings, correspondingly.

I have nothing against "disjoncter/disjoncteur" (circuit breaker) provided that the context deals with Low Voltage installations. But here we have "Power Generation" requiring special switchgears, e.g. disconnectors (sectionneurs, interrupteurs).

I am sure as electrical engineer you will underline this.

A simple typo is understandable, but the whole point was that your argument was based on the fact it had nothing to do with 'goutte' and water, which seemed to imply you had completely misread the source term! I quote:
