Bus/Financial - Energy / Power Generation / Renewable energy
English term or phrase: subscription credit
The text is referring to an innovation whereby rural areas use a renewable energy micro-grid instead of the government supplied electricity.

Here is the sentence providing context:
"This innovation is a self-contained, community managed renewable energy power grid for rural areas.
Power generated by a renewable energy source is stored in batteries and distributed to consumers through the Standard Microgrid.
Rather than paying a utility company for electricity by the kilowatt unit, a local Micro-grid manager is provided simple tools to manage the grid and distribute *subscription credit*to community members connected to the grid."

I would appreciate your suggested translations for this term. As I do not understand its meaning, or how to translate it (and I have to hand in the translation by the end of the day!)

Thanking you in advance

un quota de kWh déterminé par leur abonnement/souscription

Explanation:
"Customers pay a fixed monthly fee, based on both the amount of PV to which they want to subscribe (from 0.5 to 4 kW) and their average electricity consumption. In order to encourage conservation, SMUD makes the SolarShares less expensive for their customers who use less electricity. Once enrolled, a customer is locked in at the fixed monthly fee, for as long as they wish to participate. They receive monthly kWh credits for the estimated output of their solar subscription. "
