Bonjour,
Comment traduiriez-vous “bulkhead light ». Ces sont des lampes qu’on installe généralement sur le mur.
Merci d’avance.

neutral  Tony M: Yes, but with the caveat I mentioned in my answer: in EN, a 'bulkhead fitting' usually describes a particular style of fitting, which is in fact only a small subset of ALL 'appliques'. A bulkhead light may be ceiling-mounted, too.

hublot

Explanation:
Depends a bit on the precise context; normally, a 'bulkhead light' refers not only to the fact it is wall-mounted, but also to a specific type of technical luminaire: usually, rather plain, functional, industrial in appearance; this specific type is commonly referred to in the business as a 'hublot'

This would be a typical example of that type:

However, the term is sometimes also applied more loosely to any wall-mounting luminaire, even of a more architectural kind.

The generic term for a wall-mounting luminaire of non-specified type is an 'applique' — which is used for both technical and architectural luminaires.

Here is an example of an 'applique' as I mentioned abover, which would most certainly NOT be described as a 'bulkhead fitting' in EN!

And here is an example of a decorative 'applique' that copies the retro style of a much more industrial 'bulkhead fitting':

To put it simply, all 'bulkhead lights' are by definition 'appliques' (= light mounted on a wall); but not all 'appliques' are by any means necessarily 'bulkhead lights' (= particular style of wall-mounted lights, which are also often mounted on ceilings!)
