I don't profess to be an expert in this field — far from it! But as I understand it, this is talking about database management, and if so, I believe 'to report against' means that you can generate reports on the basis of different fields — rather akin to the way one can sort data "on Column 1" etc.
So in incredibly simplistic terms, if you have a database of customer orders, for example, you could generate a report against the 'customer' field listing all the orders for each customer; or you might report against the 'product' field so you can see which customers have bought a particular product... etc. etc. That is my layman's notion of what 'to report against' means: to generate a report of certain fields (as if they were plotted) against certain other fields.

I hope the true experts will be able to correct my highly informal explanation!

Indeed, I think you are totally right about the meaning of "as standard". It is the "reported against" part which is a bit confusing.

In fact, asker, your parsing is causing confusion here: the 'as standard' is really nothing (directly) to do with the 'reporting against' — as is confirmed by the fact that the "using the custom text fields" is also described as being "as standard".

This is further confirmed by the later text, where it says that "Anything that can be measured can be inputted into the software..." and "...reported against."

So the expression you really need to be looking at is 'to be reported against' — and I rather suspect this may well have to be expressed slightly differently in FR.

'as standard' certainly sems to be implying here that the features being described come as a standard part of the software — i.e. presumably simply meaning this are not 'optional extras' (that have to be paid for separately).
