English term or phrase: estate agent Greetings, I'm looking for the popular word for ‘estate agent’, please. My dictionary has ‘دلال معاملات املاکی’. Of course, I may be totally wrong about this, but somehow I guess the people of Iran have found a shorter, simpler term for everyday use. مشاور املاک Explanation: This is how we normally call them. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 6 mins (2010-09-24 09:22:35 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- When used to refer to the person, مشاور املاک is the term and when referring to the office of that person, we use بنگاه معاملات ملکی (as suggested by Mr. Golavar), بنگاه املاک and even in a short form as بنگاه.
