should I leave 'rendition' in English? I thought that 'teruggave' might be ok to use here, but I am not sure.

R2 is a rendition server, enabling conversion to PDF format of various types of content from an EMC Documentum docbase.

Open Text Rendition Server (formerly Open Text Rendition Services) is a standalone application that allows certain other Open Text products and solutions (see list below) to automatically generate file renditions in stable file formats suitable for long-term storage and archiving. Rendition Server can also run Optical Character Recognition (OCR) against images to create searchable PDF documents or plain text files.

Voor 'rendition server' zou je dan als vertaling 'conversieserver' kunnen gebruiken. Zie onder meer het volgende voorbeeld.

Met de Fedict-maatregel moesten FOD’s ODF-bestanden kunnen lezen. Ze mochten geen ODF-bestand weigeren, moesten ze kunnen openen, aanpassen en eventueel opslaan in ODF of een ander bestandsformaat. Daarvoor konden ze een plug-in installeren die ODF-bestanden in de kantoorapplicatie Microsoft Office laadde. Een andere optie was een conversieserver die de ODF-bestanden omzet naar een ander bestandsformaat.
