receptie Explanation: Beetje een ouderwets woord, misschien. Een receptie omdat iemand 25 jaar bij de zaak is of met pensioen gaat. Een klein feestje met een officieel tintje. |

(bedrijfs)borrel Explanation: Dit mag m.i. niet ontbreken in het rijtje van bedrijfsbijeenkomsten zoals feesten, seminars etc. Een 'borrel' heeft doorgaans in ieder geval een informeel en redelijk kleinschalig karakter. Meegaand in jouw redenering zou ik 'party' overigens gewoon als 'feest' of 'bedrijfsfeest' vertalen, want 'feestje' gaat weer meer in de richting van een 'more informal and smaller event'. |
