A few months ago while listening to NPR I came across a time-optimizing exercise called single tasking.

According to Doctor James Rouse, co-founder of the Healthy Skoop, our brains are not built to multi task.
Our mind is wired to focus on one task at a time. He claims when we’re multi tasking we’re simply stopping one task and leaving it unfinished then switching back to another. We finish about 50 percent less when trying to tackle multiple tasks at once, instead of focusing and completing tasks in a linear function.

Give it a try. Take 1 hour a day and dedicate it to a single task. Turn off your phone, your music, and close your office door. You may find that you end up with a more productive morning.

Cold emails or cold calls may provide results due to sheer volume, but there is a more effective way to generate leads. An aspect of social selling, social media monitoring can search keywords to find people interested in a particular topic. This is a time optimizing method. Instead of spending hours making phone calls or writing email templates, businesses can instantly identify their target audience. There is also a greater likelihood that these qualified leads will respond, as their active discussion or mentioning of these topics indicate their interest, and success rates will be higher than that of cold emails and cold calls. For any business, time is a resource and it is best spent on qualified potential leads.

'Asynchroon' betekent dan zoveel als dat de zender en de ontvanger (van een chatbericht) niet op hetzelfde moment (online) beschikbaar hoeven te zijn. Bij synchroon/real-time chatten is dat wel het geval. Zie bijv. http://designingsocialinterfaces.com/patterns/Synchronous_vs...

Technisch gezien zou je hier nog een heel ander verhaal over kunnen ophangen, maar voor een breed publiek zou ik het 'gewoon' (net zoals in de brontekst) houden op zoiets als: Onze tijdsefficiënte, asynchrone webservice etc. Eventueel ook meer voluit: Onze tijdsefficiënte, op asynchrone communicatie/uitwisseling gebaseerde webservice etc.

Het idee bij 'time-optimizing' lijkt me in ieder geval dat je door het asynchrone karakter van de webservice efficiënter met je tijd kunt omgaan (niet onnodig op elkaar hoeven wachten, reageren wanneer het jou uitkomt etc.).
