English term or phrase: use meat-ball gauge
It's a translation for a game (android application), it's a very short translation of how the game is working. The following sentence is stated in the part where the keys are explained used in the game:

'left soft key' = use meat-ball gauge

another sentence is:
When eliminating animals you can get meat-ball gauge. If continuous eliminations achieved you can get more meat-ball gauge.

The game itself is a kind of '4 op een rij'. You need to have 4 of the same animals on top of each other. In order to achieve this you have to eliminate other animals that are preventing you to have 4 of the same on top of each other.

gebruik gehaktbal meter

Explanation:
The general definition for "gauge" has to do with measuring, measurement, standars sizes .

So if it has to do with measurng you could try the literal translation in dutch " meter"

agree  Kate Hudson (X): It is probably a power-up gauge that you can use in the game to get yourself out of problematic situations.

neutral  Jan Willem van Dormolen (X): Agree with the translation, but you really should spell it correctly: gehaktbalmeter

gebruik gehaktballengeweer

Explanation:
According to The Routledge Dictionary of Modern American Slang and Unconventional English a gauge is a shotgun, so if there are real meatballs in the game, 'use meatball gauge' would be something like 'gebruik gehaktballengeweer'.

As I do not know whether there are real meatballs in the game, I also looked up the slang meaning of 'meatball'. This is 'afweervuur' or 'oriëntatielamp' (see taalvlinder.com), and 'a colored light that serves as a visual aid in an optical landing system for an airplane landing on an aircraft carrier' according to The Routledge.

I hope this will be of some help.
