schril Explanation: Het past logischerwijs niet in het rijtje laag-midden-hoog, maar screech doet dat ook niet. Je zou eventueel alarm kunnen kiezen als dat qua betekenis past. |

huilen Explanation: Op de werkvloer zal gesproken worden over het "huilen" van de turbine, verwijzend naar een geluid met zeer hoge toon. Als de drukverhoudingen in een turbine te hoog worden, wordt de uitlaat supersonisch. Deze uitlaatstroom produceert het geluid. Screeching of het "huilen" van de turbine is een indicatie van een probleem met de turbine, vandaar ook de screechalarmen. |
