Termínem ostrost (Sharpness, Acutance) se ve fotografii označuje schopnost přenést ostře hranu neboli hranový kontrast.

  • V tomto článečku bych vás rád upozornil na všeobecně opomíjenou skupinu negativních vývojek, navržených pro nejvyšší dosažitelnou ostrost negativního obrazu. Vhodné jsou zejména pro velká zvětšení, a to především z kinofilmu. Patří sem vývojky FX 1, FX 2, FX 2K, které navrhl Geoffrey W. Crawley. Dále pak vývojka Beutler High Acutance. Z konfekčních pak třeba Ethol TEC nebo Neofin Blue. Princip je velmi jednoduchý: tyto vývojky vyvolávají velmi rychle a důkladně, ale jen povrchovou tenoučkou vrstvu emulze.
