Prodrom - jedan ili više simptoma koji prethode izbijanju određene bolesti. Mogu biti raznoliki, od općega lošeg osjećanja, zamaranja, znojenja, mučnine, bolova u zglobovima ili mišićima, pa sve do vidljivih promjena, npr. boje lica, mršavljenja i dr. U prodromnom stadiju obično se još ne može postaviti dijagnoza predstojeće bolesti, iako neki prodromi mogu biti donekle znakoviti (npr. bolovi u mišićima često prethode nekim virusnim bolestima).
