It is sometimes known as the mud duck, king clam, or when translated literally from the Chinese characters 象拔蚌, the elephant-trunk clam. | Reference: Panope Reference information: Možda i ovo bude od pomoći... Panopea (=Panope) su velike školjke koje su poznate od miocena (sjeverna Hrvatska) . Žive ukopane, te imaju vrlo debele sifonske cijevi.
