In the case of "Mentalization-based treatment (MBT)" for example, the translation will be "العلاج الإدراكي".

Psychologist Peter Fonagy employs "mentalization" to describe the ability to understand the mental state of oneself and others based on their behaviour.
So in arabic :
كلمة إدراك تعني من بين عدة أشياء الإحساس بأمور كائنة والمعرفية الذهنية وبالتالي فالعلاج الإدراكي يفهم على انه المعالجة النفسية للافكار
Or as it was stated by Ahmed Zaki Saleh
هو الوسيلة التي يتصل بها الإنسان مع بيئته فهو لا يستطيع ان يأكل إلا اذا أدرك بطريقة ما ان ثمة ما يؤكل موجود في بيئته ، ولا يستطيع ان يحافظ على حياته وان يستمر في الوجود إلا إذا أدرك وجود الأخطار التي تهدد حياته من عدم وجودها . ( أحمد زكي صالح 1988
