English term or phrase: Ally
Hello everyone.

I'm working on a project involving the word 'ally' in multiple languages. I'd like to include Arabic, and I've looked through glossaries, but I have found multiple options. I know nothing of connotations of these words, and I want to make sure that I am not for example indicating a closer relationship than is warranted by someone saying "I am an ally." The eventual intended use, at least initially, will be bracelets with 'ally' in multiple languages, intended to indicate someone you can turn to for assistance particularly when you suspect that others may not be sympathetic--similar to how 'ally' is used in the LGBT community.

The meaning of 'ally' that I want is "I am a friend, I will help you if you need it, I am sympathetic to you."

Here are the candidate words I've found--but again, I am not sure which if any get at the right connotation:

Sadiq
Halif
Mutahalif

Or is there another word better suited?

Thank you in advance for your time.

Excellent, thank you so much. That is what I expected after research, but it is great to have it confirmed.
