Right, that's what you find when you enter كتاب الأنساب in a search engine --- family trees, human genealogy, etc. Maybe you are right and nothing specific exists for animal breeding (like the difference between family tree and studbook, herdbooks)... but I am still not sure... btw, the genitive construction is something I have no problem with... it even makes :) for a good etymological pun in this case.... since we are dealing here with animal genetics and reproduction and the GENITIVE is etymologically game for all that....

I am not sure about these first two options. I have found them too but what makes me hesitate is that HERBOOK/STUDBOOK is such a common term in cattle breeding and I can't seem to find these Arabic terms in "cow" contexts... which suggests they may be enough in terms of description/ explanation but not as "terms".
