هو صيد كائنات بحرية غير الكائنات المقصودة بالصيد بطريقة عرضية غير مقصودة أثناء عملية الصيد مثل اصطياد أنواع معينة من الكائنات البحرية مثل السلحفاة البحرية عند اصطياد الأسماك وهذا الصيد العارض يمثل خطرا على الأنواع المعرضة للأنقراض
