Explanation:
dial-up is a method used by computer's modem (modulator-demodulator) to connect to an ISP (internet service provider) or call a regular phone number, in networks there is dial-up connection or LAN (local area network) connection, when you configure dial-up connection you enter all the information about the analog (normal) phone line you are using so that the modem will behave as if it is a normal telephone.
