non riesco ad interpretare il verbo afknalle nel contesto. definizione encyclo: 1) Afschieten 2) Doodschieten 3) Fusilleren.

mi viene in mente semplicemente "cadere", ma mi sembra lontano...

in questo contesto interpreterei 'eraf knallen' più come un'inarrestabile perdita di foglie. Non una caduta violenta quindi nel senso del movimento delle foglie, ma nella sua conseguenza. Non c'è santo che tiene insomma...
