Dutch term or phrase: luieren
Just need some outside opinions on this.

It's a marketing text, so the dilemma here is between being a grammar nazi and adhering strictly to prescriptive grammar or appealing to the vernacular of the target audience, however incorrect it may be (or seem).

The sentence fragment is as follows:

luieren op heerlijke ligbedden met mooie kussen

Certainly, the phrase "be lazy on delightful sunbeds with beautiful cushions" is the most awkward marketing copy I've ever read, so I'm having to take some liberties.

My issue, as noted above, is with "luieren", for which my current alternatives are:

- lay out
- lie out
- veg out
- lounge around

I am mainly wrestling with the grammar issues presented with "lay" and "lie", because most people I know would say "lay out" even though... well... you know. "Veg out" is what I would prefer, although I don't know if that is internationally appropriate.

Full context (with images) from http://shortly.nl/mvs

"Een modern zwembad rondom de living, luieren op heerlijke ligbedden met mooie kussens en genieten van alle rust, tennissen als je zin hebt op een verlichte privé baan, en een prachtig uitzicht over de baai van San Antoni."

Tentative translation:

"This property has a modern swimming pool that spoons the living room in moat-like fashion; and you can lay out on cushiony sun beds and enjoy all the tranquility, play tennis on the private lit tennis court, and have an amazing view overlooking the Bay of San Antoni."

Any thoughts on "lay" vs. "lie" and the cross-continental appropriateness of "veg out"?
