This is just another example from my translation.
Of course arrangements can differ in different situations.

The coolant is cooled in the heat exchanger by the raw water.
The raw water drawn by an impeller pump passes through a ball valve right down against the bottom of the ship and a raw water strainer. Next, the raw water is pumped through a bundle of tubes inside the heat exchanger and then leaves the ship, either directly or through injection into the exhaust line.
