Dutch to English translations [PRO]
Printing & Publishing / Library collection
Dutch term or phrase: exemplaarblok
I'm currently translating the annual report of a library. The bit I'm translating now is about optimizing the procedure of cataloguing new material.

The term I'm struggling with is 'exemplaarblok':

"Voor zover deze gegevens al voorhanden waren, is men bij Nieuwe Aanwinsten begonnen om ze toe te voegen aan de titelbeschrijving of het exemplaarblok."

What is 'exemplaarblok' and what is the English term?

Thanks for helping me.

copy section

Explanation:
Exemplaar means copy. ("one copy of the newspaper costs" = "een exemplaar van de krant kost").
The word "blok" can have several meanings such as block (geometrical shape or row of houses) or section.

I hope this helps.
Can you provide a larger section of the text so I can clearify the context a bit better?

Example sentence(s):
  • Kunt U een exemplaar van het boek voor mij reserveren?
  • Can you reserve a copy of the book for me?
