Dutch term or phrase: zeepdoosjes

I'm translating the description of a friend's dance performance for children. The text will accompany a press kit to be sent to theatres abroad. The piece is about beauty, and the description starts with a short enumeration of things she finds beautiful, one of which is her collection of decorative miniature soap boxes, resembling those in the picture linked below.

In Dutch, these items are elegantly called "zeepdoosjes", which literally means "(little) soap boxes", and is a lot shorter and, in my opinion, more elegant than "decorative miniature soap boxes". The ideal translation would be specific enough to make most people think of the items in the photograph, be short and elegant and be understood by the average eight year old.

Part of my trouble with finding a good translation is that a "soap box" is, of course, a completely different thing, complete with some completely different associations (platform for protest etc.). Who can help me?
