Dutch term or phrase: levenschrift; leven-schrift
My context:

"Het woord biografie is een samenvoeging van het Griekse woord ‘bios’ dat ‘leven’ betekent en het woord ‘graphein’ dat ‘schrijven’ betekent.

In de biografie komt het levenschrift tot uitdrukking."

Has anyone perhaps ever seen this word used? I would be grateful for quotes.... I can think of a way or two to translate the sentence it is in, but I was wondering if it had already been used by one of us here...

It is most definitely an interesting word.

@Michael: Simple to translate, maybe - but the idea that it is possible to encompass a life within the written word is not so simple. The concept, as you said, is very interesting.

agree  philgoddard: Yes, it is simple. It's also such a statement of the obvious that I'd be tempted to leave it out - the previous sentence gives us all the information we need.
