Dutch to English translations [PRO]
Tech/Engineering - Metallurgy / Casting

neutral  Bryan Crumpler: Quick ??. I agree with boiling/boiler, but I'm not competent in metallurgy to confirm a translation. Is there any difference of nuance between koken and uitkoken like there is with slapen and uitslapen? Is it more extreme? Like sterilizer/purifier? / Kthx

-> Uitkoken = boil according to Translex Technology and uitkoken is as ambiguous in Dutch as boil is in English. Someone can be uitgekookt = shrewd.//Slapen en uitslapen still occurs in the same bed, doesn't it?

agree  Lianne van de Ven: Was working on my answer while you posted this. Working, because the source is a bit of a linguistic shortcut, so I was making sure I got it right (je maakt de uitkoker niet gereed d.m.v. zwavel en zaagsel).
