Dutch term or phrase: risicoschatter
My context (disguised):

etc.

Risk estimates were in general stronger for the hand-arm region than for the neck-shoulder region, and stronger for mouse use than for total computer use and keyboard use.

Explanation:

Ik vergis me. Letterlijk: factor that is used in a formula to calculate a risk.

Risk Assessment

Explanation:
Carried out by a Risk Assessor. Risk does not generally have a numeric value, so could not be calculated. Risk is a situation. This needs to be "assessed".

Asker: ‘risk assessor’, as in a person? In my text we are definitely not talking about a person.

Reference information:
A 'schatter' is a statistical term

In statistics, an estimator is a rule for calculating an estimate of a given quantity based on observed data: thus the rule (the estimator), the quantity of interest (the estimand) and its result (the estimate) are distinguished.

There are point and interval estimators. The point estimators yield single-valued results, although this includes the possibility of single vector-valued results and results that can be expressed as a single function. This is in contrast to an interval estimator, where the result would be a range of plausible values (or vectors or functions).

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Estimator

Asker: Thanks for all the info Barend! One thing though, if you look at one of the IATE entries for: ‘schatter = estimator’ it is defined as: ‘any quantity calculated from the sample data which is used to give information about an unknown quantity in the population. For example, the sample mean is an estimator of the population mean’ Meaning, they seem to say it can also be a number/value, rather than only a ‘voorschrift (rule)’ as you mentioned above in: ‘Het voorschrift (rule) dat bepaalt hoe de schatting uit de steekproef moet worden berekend, wordt schatter (estimator) genoemd.’ src: http://iate.europa.eu/SearchByQuery.do?method=searchDetail&lilId=1570199&langId=&query=schatter&sourceLanguage=nl&domain=0&matching=&start=0&next=1&targetLanguages=s
