English translation: the whole merry-go-round starts again

Dutch term or phrase: Zien we wel weer
The text talks about how people go on a bit of a health kick, lose weight, and then the cycle starts again. "Volgend jaar zien we wel weer".

I've only got as far as "And then next year, it's 'here we go again'", which is awkward and not quite right.

The text is for native speakers of British English and is quite colloquial, definitely not formal English.

Any suggestions would be very much appreciated!

English translation:the whole merry-go-round starts again
Explanation:
if it's very informal! Or: the whole thing/cycle/process/routine/circus... It's the same story all over again.

That's if the idea is a never-ending cycle, but if it's more a hint that next year might be different, then Kate's suggestion would work.
