Occupational Disability Insurance Act

Explanation:
Occupational Disability Insurance Act

this is according to belastingdiesnst themselves. it sounds a bit better in English too, being 'occupational'

but yeah, all it takes is a google search indeed:

occupational disability benefits (Occupational Disability Insurance Act (WAO), Income according to Work Capacity Act (WIA), Young Disabled Persons' Occupational Disability Provisions Act (Wet Wajong), Invalidity Insurance (Self-Employed Persons) Act (Waz) or Disabled Military Personnel Occupational Disability Provisions Act (Wamil)

neutral  writeaway: each Nl site will often have its own version of English. not sure that one is necessarily better than the other. /invalidity benefits exists too. Disability may be a bit more PC in today's world, that's all. Maybe used more in US. Otherwise no difference

-> 'invalidity' in English is used more in personal contexts. Disability Benefits are determined by law. Yes, you're right about the too many different translations - not all of them are the best, and yes, ideally it should of course be one standardized

Application of the Dutch laws relating to incapacity for work
(a)
Any employed or self-employed person who is no longer insured under the Algemene arbeidsongeschiktheidswet (General Disability Act) (AAW) of 11 December 1975, the Wet arbeidsongeschiktheidsverzekering zelfstandigen (Self-employed Persons Disablement Benefits Act) (WAZ) of 24 April 1997, the Wet op de arbeidsongeschiktheidsverzekering (Disability Insurance Act) (WAO) of 18 February 1966 or the Wet werk en inkomen naar arbeidsvermogen (Work and Income according to Labour Capacity Act) (WIA) of 10 November 2005 is considered to be so when the risk materialises, for the purposes of the application of the provisions of Chapter 3 of Title III of the Regulation, if that person is insured under the legislation of another Member State for the same risk or, failing that, if a benefit is due for the same risk in pursuance of the legislation of another Member State. The latter condition shall be considered to be fulfilled, however, in the case referred to in Article 48(1).

Another example of Disability Insurance Act, taken from a publications by the OECD: OECD >> http://tinyurl.com/gl9gzlw

And here the CBS uses Disablement Insurance Act: http://statline.cbs.nl/StatWeb/publication/?VW=T&DM=SLEN&PA=...

Conclusion: it's a mess :-)

neutral  Barend van Zadelhoff: CBS definitions: Occupational Disability Insurance Act (WAO) http://tinyurl.com/hpmahrf 'Occupational Disability' = a fine translation for 'arbeidsongeschiktheid', used in many relevant contexts. See my references above + linguistic elegance.
2 hrs
-> The problem here is that no one seems to use one translation consistently, and that includes the CBS and OECD (see my links above) for which you provided different examples elsewhere. I'd probably follow the T.M.C. Asser Instituut or wetten.overheid.nl.
