disagree  Oliver Pekelharing: 'The roots' can also be taken to mean 'the cause' (the roots of the problem), which takes the meaning of 'ontstaansachtergond' too far, imo. ... I said 'CAN also mean'... see the OED.

  -> "Roots and causes" wordt zo vaak gebruikt (24.600 x op google) terwijl "onstaansachtergrond" 92 keer voorkomt. Er staat "ontstaan" en niet "historische context"..... Er is wel degelijk een verschil tussen "roots" en "causes."
