Die lichte overweging werd echter al snel omgezet in een overweging (+3 % eind januari) om optimaal te kunnen profiteren van het herstel. We handhaafden een korte duratie."

"overweging" cannot be translated as "consideration" here.
Could "overrepresentation" fit in this context, or is there another term you could suggest?

Yes, I think that is what is meant. Being overrepresented.

But overrepresentations is not how it's commonly called.

agree  philgoddard: But it doesn't mean more than you'd like. It means that they hold proportionately more than a benchmark weight, ie more than you'd expect if their portfolio was an exact reflection of the market.
