Dutch to English translations [PRO]
Tech/Engineering - Environment & Ecology / Soil and groundwater research
Dutch term or phrase: boorprofiel
Just checking a term for the user manual of software designed to aid environmental research. Here is the context:

"Boorprofielen rapporteren
Maak een selectie van de meetpunten waarvan boorprofielen gemaakt moeten worden.
Klik vervolgens op de knop Boorprofielen of kies menu Rapportage - Boorprofiel.
De boorprofielen worden gerapporteerd in de volgorde zoals deze in de tabel staan."

Is the translation simply "bore profiles" (as opposed to drill/drilling profiles)?

I found this reference to support this assumption:
http://www.dc-software.de/en/glossary/a-g/english/bore-profi...

It would be nice if someone could confirm the translation or offer alternatives. Thanks very much.

bore sample (profile)

Explanation:
Here they are actually talking about the sample taken with a drill/bore, which present a "profile of the subsoil".

If it is what I think it is, core sample would be the more appropriate term I think
