Asker: interesting. I have an old paper copy of the Groot Polytechnisch Woordenboek, but forgot to check it. instead, I looked in the GWIT (the online version), which only has this: [1] temperen = abate [2] temperen (metaal) = malleableise; temper; anneal temperen onder kruipcondities = creep annealing [ELECTRON.] ################# (on a side note: I haven't been asked or able to pay for my GWIT online subscription since Graham Oxtoby's death. my last invoice is dated 2015-07-14! … and yet it continues to work fine. I've tried to contact his old company, but to no avail: complete radio silence. very strange.) #################
