pulling blade fuses Explanation: a blade fuse is a cartride fuse whose contacts are flat blades that slip into slots in a fuse holder. There are various types; the fuses most commonly used nowadays in cars are blade fuses with both blades on one edge of the fuse, while industrial blade fuses commonly have the blades at either end of the cartridge. See the first reference for an excellent discussion of cartridge fuses, including a cross-sectional diagram of an industrial blade fuse.
